Aperture's Photographic Memory – 50 Books/50 Covers 2011 Winner

AIGA and Design Observer celebrate the best book design in America.

We are pleased to announce that our 2011 survey of the photo album from the turn of the century to today, Photographic Memory: The Album in the Age of Photography (co-published with the Library of Congress), has been selected as a winner of the AIGA and Design Observer‘s 50 Books/50 Covers Competition!

Tracing its roots over nearly ninety years to 1924, this survey of the best in book design represents perhaps the longest-standing legacy in American graphic design, and we’re extremely proud to be acknowledged.
