As a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fine photography, Aperture Foundation has worked for the advancement of photography and the exchange of ideas among audiences worldwide for over 50 years. Entering into a new century, Aperture Foundation has expanded its efforts and branched into an exciting new venture: Aperture Images. (www.apertureimages.org)
Aperture Images is an online collection of photographic images marketed to designers, corporations, advertising agencies, and publishers who appreciate photography as a unique form of visual expression.
Like all aspects of Aperture Foundation, the work of Aperture Images is striking, varied and unique. The rich and diverse collection includes work from the distinguished roster of photographers that Aperture has published in its critically acclaimed books and Aperture magazine, as well as new works that meet Aperture’s high standards for creativity, quality and overall excellence.
Aperture Images offers a different interpretation of traditional stock photography themes. It is primarily composed of the personal work of our artists who are documenting their lives, their passions, and the themes that are most important to them. Our artist's visions offer sophisticated solutions for expressing concepts and visual ideas while meeting commercial expectations. A portion of the proceeds from Aperture Images will help support the programs of the Aperture Foundation. |
