Artist Book Commitee
Co-Chairs: Peter Barbur, and Jeff Gutterman and Russet Lederman

The Artist Book Committee (ABC) is a group of patrons united by a commitment to the photobook’s evolving contribution to the photographic medium; a belief in its importance to contemporary photographic practice; and an interest in providing support for the creation of new books.

ABC participation is by invitation only and limited to a small group of individuals. Members of ABC will help facilitate the publication of books that do not otherwise have an obvious means of support. Annual dues will be allocated to a restricted fund to support the production and publication of new work. In-person or online meeting attendance is required at one committee meeting per year.

Benefits include:

  • Acknowledgment in select books, according to level of contribution
  • One complimentary special edition of supported photobooks, in addition to one trade copy
  • Invitations to conversations and events with participating artists, editors, authors, and other members of the photobook community
  • Direct engagement in the dialogue around making artist books possible
