As a part of the series Black Icons of Art, hosted at The Greene Space, join Aperture and WNYC’s Rebecca Carroll for a special discussion with Antwaun Sargent. Black Icons of Art continues with an intimate and unfiltered conversation, featuring the prolific writer, curator and critic Antwaun Sargent (The New York TimesWVogue, et al). Host Rebecca Carroll will discuss his trajectory; his traveling exhibition, Young, Gifted and Black; and what lies ahead for Art in this tumultuous political climate and fast-paced digital world.

In Black Icons of ArtRebecca Carroll sits down with some of the art world’s most influential Black creators, thinkers and curators. Artists and critics will reflect on their creative processes, their career journeys and the unique struggles they faced breaking into the art world. Rebecca previously hosted a limited series on Black Icons of Podcasting, featuring some of the podcasting world’s most influential Black hosts and producers.
