Book Launch: My Tiny Atlas: Our World Through Your Eyes
Wednesday, March 27
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join Tiny Atlas Quarterly at Aperture Foundation for the launch of their new book, My Tiny Atlas: Our World Through Your Eyes, published by Ten Speed Press and Penguin Random House. Featuring over 130 contributors, including photos by author Emily Nathan, the book takes readers to every continent, fifty countries, and all corners of the world, from Paris and Buenos Aires to the Arctic Circle and Tanzania. Visually exploring new destinations with an intimate, insider’s view, the book focuses not on the usual monuments and tourist attractions, but on the real people, mouthwatering food, bustling streets, epic views, and architectural gems that make us feel what it’s like to truly be in another place.
The evening will kick off with a panel discussion between Tiny Atlas founder and author Emily Nathan, Adobe’s Principal of Creative Services and Visual Trends Brenda Milis, and Aperture Foundation Executive Director Chris Boot. They will be discussing the new book, My Tiny Atlas, as well as current visual trends in photography. Following this panel, there will be a short reception to celebrate the launch of the book.
Tiny Atlas Quarterly, helmed by founder Emily Nathan and photo director Deb Hearey, is a photography-led lifestyle travel brand, creative agency, and global social community that brings personal travel to life—through editorial projects, brand partnerships, live events, and immersive adventures.
Generous support for this event is provided by Adobe. Adobe Stock and Tiny Atlas have joined together on a number of photographic projects since 2017; some, such as recent shoots in Tahiti and India, are featured in My Tiny Atlas. Several of the contributors to the book also contribute their work to the Adobe Stock Premium collection. If you’re interested in contributing, please click here to learn more.
