Crossing Bridges Talk

Monday, November 28

8:00 p.m. EDT

Aperture Gallery and Bookstore, 547 West 27th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY

Join FC Barcelona Photo Awards for Crossing Bridges, a talk moderated by Christy Lange (Frieze Magazine), featuring Carles Vilarrubí (FC Barcelona), Azu Nwagbogu (African Artists’ Foundation), Stephen Mayes (Tim Hetherington Trust), Gail Buckland (Who Shot Sports, Brooklyn Museum), and Jean-Denis Walter (gallerist). The talk, part of the promotional events of the FC Barcelona Photo Awards taking place in New York, will explore the ideas of how to build bridges, break down barriers, and overcome the prejudices that nowadays separate the worlds of art and sports.

The FC Barcelona Photo Awards aim to identify the work that reflects the intrinsically positive values of sports. It was established with the aim of giving recognition to the photographers who have captured these values through their lens. FC Barcelona Photo Awards seek to grow a global photographic platform to communicate this importance while also giving support to the photography industry. FC Barcelona will organize an exhibition featuring the winning entries of both categories, as well as the finalists of the Photo Award category.
