SPE Annual Conference 2020

Visit Aperture at booth #5 at the Exhibits Fair during the 2020 Society for Photographic Education’s annual conference in Houston. Focusing on the theme “20/20 Vision,” this year’s conference explores photography’s role at this turning point in history and how it might best be used to respond to the current moment. Aperture will present a new issue of the magazine (#238 “House & Home”), as well as our latest books, including new titles in The Photography Workshop Series and classic and perennial best sellers.

Saturday, March 7: Teaching Visual Literacy: Aperture On Sight, Plaza I at 11:00 a.m.
Alice Proujansky will present the Aperture On Sight curriculum, illustrating ways to decode and encode images, and interpret photographs using flexible, engaging inquiry techniques that make material accessible to middle and high school students. Immediately following, there will be a book signing of Go Photo! An Activity Book for Kids (Aperture, 2016) at Aperture’s booth #5 in the Exhibits Fair.
