Join Aperture and Magnum Foundation for the celebration of “Counter Histories,” the spring 2024 issue of Aperture magazine, produced in collaboration with Magnum Foundation.
This issue is inspired by Magnum’s Counter Histories grant initiative, supporting projects that creatively reframe the past to engage with urgent questions of present and future. This edition of Aperture offers an expanded and collaborative approach to historical inquiry and photographic storytelling, and marks over a decade of collaboration between our organizations. In conjunction with “Counter Histories,” an exhibition featuring the work of four photographers from the issue will be on view from April 3 to June 26 at Magnum Foundation. A second exhibition related to “Counter Histories” will be presented at the Center for Photography at Woodstock, in Kingston, New York, from March 23 to May 26.
The event is cohosted by Magnum Foundation and the issue will be available for purchase. Please RSVP here.
