“The pictures Ketchum took from the helicopter that went on the expedition, contrasting deep blue water with light blue ice, are luscious and inviting even as they document a harsh environment where only the hardiest wildlife can survive. In these images, there is orange sky, light green-colored water held still by ice, and glacial ‘Tongues’ the size of Manhattan… This kind of landscape photography reminds us, without preaching, that there are still things out there far bigger than we are.”–Anna Hammond,” ARTnews”
“Few photographers have been so effective at tying their work to an activist cause as Robert Glenn Ketchum. He is a brilliant polemicist who packages each of his projects with exhibitions, a lecture series, and even direct lobbying of Congress… The photographer lures viewers in, scene after scene, with the gorgeous tones that only nature can supply.”–“American Photo”
