Please join the DIA for this live stream event with Kwame Samori Brathwaite Jr, son of photographer Kwame Brathwaite and Director of the Kwame Brathwaite Archive, and Dr. Kenneth Montague, Toronto-based photo collector featuring images of the African diaspora.
The program will be moderated by Yvette Rock, artist, photographer, and founder of Detroit’s Live Coal Arts. This program is in conjunction with the exhibition Black Is Beautiful: The Photography of Kwame Brathwaite on view at the DIA through Sunday, January 16, 2022.
