Join us alongside Leica for a celebration honoring a century of innovation in photography. Special offerings include a special pop-up Aperture library—including our recent releases alongside perennial classics—a panel discussion on how the role of the photobook has changed over time, and a conversation between Susan Meiselas and J. Sybylla Smith as they discuss the photographer’s seminal classic, Nicaragua.
Schedule of Aperture Events:
- All day: Visit the Aperture Library at the Leica Gallery and Store (406 West 13th Street, Second Floor)
- 1:00 p.m.: Artist talk with Susan Meiselas and J. Sybylla Smith
- 3:30 p.m.: Panel discussion, “The Role of the Photobook in Contemporary Culture,” with artists Donavon Smallwood and Brandon Ruffin, moderated by Flynn Murray, writer and Aperture’s director of business development
