Join Aperture at the 2023 Photography Show, organized by the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD).

Aperture will introduce newly released titles including Ernest Cole: House of Bondage, the reissue of the powerful 1967 document of the Apartheid era featuring a chapter of never-before-seen images; Sam Contis: Overpass, a reflection on what it means to move through the landscape; and and Kimowan Metchewais: A Kind of Prayer, the first survey of the late and underrecognized Cree artist. The spring issue of Aperture magazine will be shared, along with special subscription discounts available exclusively at AIPAD.

A selection of limited-edition prints will be available for collectors, with proceeds to benefit participating artists and to support all of Aperture’s nonprofit programs and publications: artists represented include Yto Barrada, Sara Cwynar, John Edmonds, An-My Lê, Will Matsuda, Adam Pape, Hannah Whitaker, and Hank Willis Thomas. Also, as a highlight for the fair, Aperture will make rare and special artist editions from the Aperture archive available, as well as signed books by Gregory Crewdson, Gregory Halpern, Justine Kurland, Gillian Laub, Susan Meiselas, Joel Meyerowitz, Shikeith, Wendy Red Star, and more. We are also pleased to partner with AIPAD exhibitors to offer a special selection of books by artists represented in the fair.

The proceeds from Aperture’s limited-edition program, in addition to benefiting the artist, help support Aperture’s not-for-profit publishing, educational, and public programs.

The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD), established in 1979, has become a unifying force in the field of photography. AIPAD encourages public support of fine art photography by acting as a collective voice for the dealers in fine art photography and through communication and education that enhances the confidence of the public, museums, institutions, and others in responsible fine art photography dealers.
