Artist Talk and Book Signing with Susan Meiselas

Please join Photographic Arts Council Los Angeles (PAC LA) for an afternoon with photographer Susan Meiselas. This talk is part of the ongoing Year of the Woman series created by PAC LA with the generous support of Eastman Museum Los Angeles.
Meiselas is well known for her documentation of communities in Latin America, and her visit coincides with the 2025 re-release of her acclaimed publication Nicaragua: June 1978–July 1979 (Aperture, 2025). Meiselas’s talk will center on her work in Nicaragua over the decades since the book’s publication and the various forms the work has taken—as book, exhibition, and film—tracing the lives of her images as they have circulated and been repatriated, shifting their meaning over time.
There will be a book signing of Nicaragua following the talk. A limited number of signed copies are available to reserve with a donation to PAC LA . Books will also be available for purchase the day of the event.
Tickets and more information can be found here.
