Meet the Artists: Creating Stories for Tomorrow

For its second iteration, Aperture and FUJIFILM’s commissioned series Creating Stories for Tomorrow showcased three photographers, each of whom created a body of work in response to the question: what does tomorrow look like? From abstract self-portraiture to intimate photographs of family, to a new take on the classic road trip, the photographers captured moments that reflect on what the future could hold. In this online conversation, Brendan Embser, senior managing editor of Aperture magazine, speaks with artists Jarod Lew, Miraj Patel, and Chanell Stone about their work and what “tomorrow” looks like for them.
