Photo SeMA × Aperture: Three Perspectives

At Photo SeMA - Seoul, South Korea

In conjunction with the publication of Aperture No. 260: “The Seoul Issue, the Photography Seoul Museum of Art (Photo SeMA) presents Photo SeMA × Aperture: “Three Perspectives.” This program is aimed at connecting Seoul’s photographic discourse with the global scene. It will bring together Korean photographers who are actively engaged both locally and internationally, as well as Michael Famighetti, Aperture’s editor in chief, to exchange insights on photographic practices and editorial directions. The writer and curator Hyunjung Son will moderate a conversation between “The Seoul Issue” contributors Heinkuhn Oh, Chorong An, and Yezoi Hwang.

The Fall 2025 issue explores how photographers have chronicled and participated in the countless transformations of the dynamic South Korean capital, a megacity defined by millennia of tradition and a future still being written.

This program is free and open to all, but booking is required here.

This program is presented in partnership with Photo SeMA, and a recording will be made available on Aperture’s YouTube channel following the live event. Sales of Aperture magazine during the event is made possible by the Reference.
