Photo SeMA × Aperture: Three Perspectives

In conjunction with the publication of Aperture No. 260: “The Seoul Issue,” the Photography Seoul Museum of Art (Photo SeMA) presents Photo SeMA × Aperture: “Three Perspectives.” This program is aimed at connecting Seoul’s photographic discourse with the global scene. It will bring together Korean photographers who are actively engaged both locally and internationally, as well as Michael Famighetti, Aperture’s editor in chief, to exchange insights on photographic practices and editorial directions. The writer and curator Hyunjung Son will moderate a conversation between “The Seoul Issue” contributors Heinkuhn Oh, Chorong An, and Yezoi Hwang.

The Fall 2025 issue explores how photographers have chronicled and participated in the countless transformations of the dynamic South Korean capital, a megacity defined by millennia of tradition and a future still being written.
