Description
Lynn Geesaman's landscapes and garden-scapes have a distinctive, shimmering style. The detail in her photographs forms the base of the images, but the soft, unfocused surface reminds the viewer of Impressionist painting. This photograph was taken in one of the artist's favorite parks, Parc de Sceaux, just south of Paris.

She describes the scene this way: "the pure geometry of the seventeenth-century French park: a haze of yellow buds softens the ends of the branches, an effect that enhances an otherwise severe object."
