Taking place over two half-days, this online workshop is intended for photo educators and photographers looking to build their skills in the classroom. We will cover ways to use Aperture’s curriculum and educational titles in the classroom, whether online or in person. Aperture teaching artist Alice Proujansky will share examples, facilitate conversations, and connect participants to create a collaborative experience. Artist and writer Angélica Dass will also attend, answering questions about her new children’s book, The Colors We Share (Aperture, 2021), discussing lesson ideas, and providing inspiration. Participants will learn to adapt activities to the interests and needs of their students while picking up new and engaging ways to explore photography and visual literacy.

Attendees will receive a free copy of each of two new Aperture children’s books: The Colors We Share and Eyes Open: 23 Photography Projects for Curious Kids

The maximum capacity of this workshop is 25 people.
