Hard Feelings is a searing record of friendship, masculinity, and graffiti culture that unfolds as an unforgettable, cinematic portrait of New York. The series will be published by Aperture in Majd’s first monograph, forthcoming in spring 2027.

Dean Majd (born in Queens, 1990) is a Palestinian American photographer based in New York. His work has been featured in several group exhibitions, including the 2023 iteration of the Museum of the City of New York’s photography triennial and Greater New York (2026) at MoMA PS1.
