Join Aperture at BOP 2025 at Martin Parr Foundation, Bristol, UK.
BOP—Books on Photography—is the annual photobook festival from Martin Parr Foundation and held in Bristol across the second weekend of October. The festival brings together a wide-ranging group of photobook publishers, artist talks, exhibitions, book signings, events, street food, coffee, and beer.
The book fair is held across the Paintworks Event Space, alongside a new venue in the Paintworks complex. Publishers, photographers, and photobook sellers attend from across the UK, Europe, and further afield to showcase the latest work happening in the photobook community. Melissa O’Shaughnessy will join us at BOP ’25 to give an artist talk on her recently rereleased photobook, Perfect Strangers: New York City Street Photographs. For this monograph, Melissa spent six years photographing on the streets of Manhattan, New York, capturing the fleeting moments when the light, the people, and the chaos of the city collide in surprising, poignant, and humorous ways. This work was first published by Aperture in 2020, with a new edition printed in 2025.
