Tyler Mitchell will sign copies of his new monograph, Wish This Was Real, in conjunction with his presentation at the Gagosian Shop in London’s Burlington Arcade.
Published by Aperture on the occasion of his 2024–26 traveling exhibition of the same title, this early-career survey takes a deep look at Mitchell’s evolving practice across photography, video, and sculpture. Together, these works explore beauty, utopia, and the landscape within the context of contemporary Black presence.
The book features a foreword by Anna Wintour and contributions by Sophie Cavoulacos, Brendan Embser, Rashid Johnson, Robin Coste Lewis, Sarah Lewis, Drew Sawyer, Rachel Tashjian, and Salamishah Tillet.
