Join Aperture at the Park Avenue Armory for the forty-fifth edition of The Photography Show presented by AIPAD. Located centrally in the PhotoBook + Partners section, Aperture will showcase a curated selection of our latest publications, signed books, and rare limited editions. 

This year’s presentation features new limited-edition prints by Alejandro Cartagena, Dionne Lee, Wendy Red Star, Coreen Simpson, and more. Visitors can also browse the latest issue of Aperture magazine and take advantage of exclusive on-site subscription offers. 

Also on view will be a presentation of selected works by the five artists shortlisted for the 2026 Aperture Portfolio Prize: Olivia Crumm, Victor Llorente, Megha Singha, Aaryan Sinha, and Farren van Wyk. 2026 marks the twentieth annual Aperture Portfolio Prize, representing two decades of discovering, exhibiting, and publishing a broad and exciting range of styles by artists working in the medium of photography. The winner of the prize will be announced both online and in person at the fair on Thursday, April 23, at 3:00 pm.

Thursday, April 23

  • 1:00 pm: AIPAD Award winner: Deborah Willis
    • 2026 AIPAD Award Winner, artist, scholar and curator Deborah Willis joins Brendan Embser, Senior Editor at Aperture, for a wide‑ranging conversation about her extraordinary impact on photography through her research, mentorship and artistic vision. Together, they reflect on how Willis has shaped dialogues around race, representation and history and how her work continues to inspire new ways of seeing and imagining.
  • 3:00 pm: Announcement of 2026 Aperture Portfolio Prize Winner (Booth D19)
  • 4:00 pm: Book signing with Justine Kurland (Aperture Booth P01)
  • 5:30 pm: Book signing with Alejandro Cartagena and Philip Montgomery (Aperture Booth P01)
  • 6:30 pm: Book signing with Anastasia Samoylova and David Alekhuogie (Aperture Booth P01)

  • 1:00 pm: Twenty Years of the Portfolio Prize: The 2026 Shortlist in Conversation 
    • Aperture associate editor Noa Lin will moderate a conversation between a group of artists selected for the 2026 Portfolio Prize shortlist. 2026 marks the 20th annual Aperture Portfolio Prize, representing two decades of discovering, exhibiting, and publishing a broad and exciting range of styles by artists working in the medium of photography. 
  • 2:00 pm: Book signing with An-My Lê (Aperture Booth P01)
  • 2:30 pm: Rosalind Fox Solomon: What Is Life?
    • Gathering together colleagues, friends and editors, this discussion will explore Rosalind Fox Solomon’s life and work. With MUUS Collection advisor Richard Grosbard in conversation with Aperture Editor-in-Chief Michael Famighetti and Solomon’s former studio manager Marion Misilim, moderated by Sophie Wright, the Executive Director of MUUS Collection, the conversation will complement the archival material on view at the fair at MUUS Collection’s stand.
  • 3:00 pm: Book signing with Coreen Simpson (Aperture Booth P01)
