Aperture PhotoBook Club

Wendy Red Star: Delegation

Wednesday, June 29

6:00 p.m. EDT

Join us for the June Aperture PhotoBook Club event where we’ll discuss the featured book of the month, Wendy Red Star: Delegation. This event is offered exclusively to Aperture PhotoBook Club members. Joining is free and easy—simply subscribe to the Aperture PhotoBook Club newsletter to enroll.

This month’s live event will be hosted by Brendan Embser, senior managing editor of Aperture magazine and editor of Delegation, who will be joined by Wendy Red Star, art historians Jordan Amirkhani and Josh T. Franco, and designer Emily CM Anderson.

The Aperture PhotoBook Club brings together a constellation of artists and individuals engaged with photobook-making for conversations that inform and inspire photo-loving audiences around the world.

Hosted by Aperture’s executive director, Sarah Meister, the Aperture PhotoBook Club is a virtual book club that dives into some of Aperture’s most exciting titles, while also regularly featuring noteworthy photobooks released by an array of independent publishers. Each month, we invite you to join Sarah and an intimate group of artists, editors, designers, and writers to look at and learn from the most compelling photobooks in the field.

How to Watch

PhotoBook Club events will take place on the last Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. ET unless otherwise noted. PhotoBook Club events will be live-streamed on Zoom and members will receive an email at the beginning of each month with the event registration link. Only PhotoBook Club members can register for the live-streamed events. However, the events will be recorded and anyone can watch them on Aperture’s YouTube channel.
