Spring into Summer Gallery Walk

Join Aperture members, trustees, and community for a morning gallery walk featuring guided tours of two current exhibitions and a behind-the-scenes visit to the studio of LEVENBETTS, the architectural firm designing Aperture’s new home.

The walk will begin at Alison Bradley Projects for Kunié Sugiura: Something Else, an overview of the artist’s six-decade career. Sugiura’s pioneering photograms and painterly techniques challenge the boundaries between photography and fine art, and her work was featured on the cover of Aperture’s spring issue, “Photography & Painting.”

Attendees will then be led by Stella Betts and David Leven through their award-winning architecture firm’s studio. LEVENBETTS is renowned for bold, thoughtful design at every scale, from public spaces to exhibitions, and is designing Aperture’s new home on the Upper West Side.

The final stop of the gallery walk is Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier New York, where attendees will explore the myths and realities of the American West reimagined by the collaborative journey of Maryam Eisler and Alexei Riboud in a sweeping exhibition cocurated by Carrie Scott and Howard Greenberg.

Eligible members and donors will receive email invitations directly. Not an Aperture Member? Please join us at the Friend Level or above to attend this event. See hereor email membership@aperture.org for details.
