Dan Deacon America Flag Photo Contest
Announcing new Instagram photo contest hosted by Dan Deacon and Aperture Magazine.
Domino Records bands are regulars on our office playlists—Blood Orange, Dirty Projectors, Animal Collective, Cass McCombs, and Dan Deacon, whose new record, titled “America,” is out in the midst of what’s already proving to be another surreal presidential election cycle.
We were excited when our friends over at Domino asked us to help Dan Deacon judge an Instagram photo contest to crowd-source the cover image for the cover of his next release. Deacon designed his own America flag from a photo of Lake Placid taken by Richard Endres, and he wants you to shoot and submit your best photos of the flag to our Instagram gallery, co-hosted with Dan Deacon and Domino Records. How do you get one? You can order a flag from Domino Records or you can email us right now at blog[at]aperture.org and include your name and mailing address. The first fifty people to respond will receive a free Dan Deacon America flag directly from Domino Records.
See the site below for the submissions and more information about the contest rules. Winners will be announced in November.
